Tecnofil will attend Wire at Düsseldorf

From June 20 to 24, Tecnofil team will be waiting for your visit at Wire, the international trade exhibition for companies operating in the field of wire and cable. Enjoying in-person meeting in Dusseldorf, after the forced break caused by the pandemic, will be the perfect way to meet again with customers and other key players of the steel industry. It is the place to be to develop our internationalization strategy: nurturing longstanding relationships and creating new businesses, talking to key decision-makers in an international context.

Alfa Acciai Group's Sustainability Report

The Alfa Acciai Group has recently presented its first Sustainability Report, referring to the 2019-2020 years. The in-depth document is the result of a choral work involving all the operating companies of the Group: Tecnofil, Alfa Acciai, Acciaierie di Sicilia and Ferroberica.

The Report, you can read here, focuses on the materiality aspects of the activities of Group companies that are of interest for sustainability for the group itself and for its stakeholders, among which we would like to mention the territory and local communities. These aspects concern governance, environmental and social issues, and quality-related aspects, and represent the core theme explored in the various chapters of the document. the result of a choral work involving all the operating companies of the Group: Tecnofil, Alfa Acciai, Acciaierie di Sicilia and Ferroberica.

As a part of Alfa Acciai Group, Tecnofil  also makes part of the reporting scope: the Sustainability Report describes the company's commitment to environmental, social and economic sustainability themes, and in particular to initiatives to make processes more efficient, limiting consumption and emissions.

Our company's commitment on the environmental front took form in 2018 with the ISO 14001 certification, (last update April 2021), which attests to the adoption of an Environmental Management System in line with international standards, and in various useful interventions to limit the impact of activities. Among these, the main intervention involved the electromechanical revamping of 6 drawing lines, which resulted in energy savings of around 70% compared to the previous plants. The renewal of the compressed air production system and the installation of a LED lighting network have contributed to a further reduction in consumption.

Tecnofil focus on safety in the workplace, which is actively implemented and constantly improved, has allowed the company to obtain OHSAS 18001 certification since 2011, which was then upgraded to ISO45001 in 2020; the accident rates for 2020 and 2021 are far below national standards.

Consistently with the Alfa Acciai Group's corporate culture about environmental, social and economic sustainability, the Report also expresses Tecnofil constant focus on quality. Since 2009 the company has held ISO 9001 certification, updated in April 2021, and with the collaboration of the centre of excellence Politecnico delle Marche - Ancona University since 2017 it has further improved its galvanising process, becoming a benchmark in the European market for corrosion resistance, surface quality and dimensional tolerances.

Finally, great attention has been paid to the company climate and the quality of life of all employees, both internal and external: a commitment that has been recognised by all the main stakeholders, this is a result of daily work where people are at the top of the scale of company values.

Tecnofil participated at Made in Steel 2015 (Booth 12P/D25), showing important innovations for both its Wire and Machinery Divisions.

In specific, the exhibition was the opportunity to present the extension of the wire products, that now include also the zinc-aluminum wires and the TBL, the Straight Wet Drawing Line, now available also for welding wires and designed to bring the advantages of dry drawing system in wet drawing process.

Tecnofil participated at Wire Russia 2015 (Booth FO/C47), showing important innovations for both its Wire and Machinery Divisions.

In specific, the exhibition has been the opportunity to announce the extension of the wire product offering, to include the zinc-aluminum wires and to present the new TBL, its Straight Wet Drawing Line, now available also for welding wires and designed to bring the advantages of dry drawing system in wet drawing process.

Tecnofil participated at Interwire, the most important wire and cable exhibition in the Americas.

In specific, Tecnofil presented its latest production lines, with a particular highlight on the new no-slip wet drawing line TBL and on the wire rewinding line, for the Machinery Division. The show has also been the opportunity to present the complete offer of the Wire Division.

Tecnofil wire is coated by a system which is designed in-house and able to make coverings with polymers assuring the best adherence, a uniform colouring and diameter calibration.
The excellent quality of the product has been tested by the main producers of spirals for notebooks (bookbinding).

Among the news presented by Tecnofil at the Wire 2014, the TBL stands out. The wire drawing line with no-skid system is designed to bring the advantages of dry drawing in wet drawing processes.
The machine guarantees a high drawing speed, longer dies lifespan, better energetic efficiency and an excellent surface quality. Our technical department can customize each line following the specific exigencies of the customer.

It put again its Wire Drawing Lines and Staple making Lines on the market, with the desired success!
